Magnolia Market Silobration // Waco, TX

Last weekend we headed to Waco, TX for the 2018 Silobration Festival at the Silos. This was our first weekend in Texas, and exploring the Waco area was so fun! We are staying Wichita Falls, and there is basically nothing here, so getting out and exploring the rest of the state is the best!

Magnolia is the amazing event center owned by Chip and Joanna Gaines, from Fixer Upper on HDTV. They are the sweetest, most genuine people, who happen to love interior design, and get to share it with the rest of the world. Their little dream has turned into a huge hit over the years. The grounds are complete with a store full of Joanna's own designs, a restaurant full of family recipes, and the Silos Bakery.

The grounds were decorated so beautifully for fall. Unfortunately, we never saw Chip + Jo. In order to see them, you had to buy tickets to an exclusive concert that night, where Chip + Jo would come out to speak. We passed on this due to cost and the expense of having to find a hotel in Waco.

What I enjoyed most, were the tents of vendors that lined the grounds. The vendors were all small business owners selling home decor, clothes, jewelry, pottery, paper goods, and so many other things. The vendor fair had an amazing vibe -- I wanted to buy everything. I got to meet the owner of Gigipip -- a hat company that I have admired for years. I bought one of their hats & I am obsessed. There were also tons of food trucks! We grabbed some pulled pork bbq tacos from a local Waco food truck -- delicious.

Honestly overall, it was all very overwhelming. There were so many people, so we ended up not buying anything from Johanna's store because the checkout lines were SO LONG. We also waited in line for an hour for two cupcakes from the bakery. It was insane. We went, we saw, and if you ever find yourself in the Texas area, I recommend going. Would I buy a plane ticket just to visit the Silos? Probably not.

Happy Fall & Happy Adventuring. Stay tuned for more TX travels!
